When the revolting adolescent Marie gets pregnant from her boyfriend Sef, she convinces her family that she has conceived ‘unsoiled’. What starts out as a white little lie, grows to become a worldwide news sensation. The catholic church is shaken to its foundations when even the pope starts believing a new Messiah is on the way. The designated successor of the pope, the sly cardinal Servaas, watches his place as God’s surrogate on earth go up in smoke.
